Our Wednesday Night Concert Series features local and touring bands of all genres. Check out some of the great music we have hosted in the past:
LAKE
LAKE, you may know them as the band who composed the outro for the television program Adventure Time, but this Olympia band has been producing eclectic and danceable lo-fi tinged tunes since 2007. They played the KUGS 89.3 FM 40th Anniversary at the Underground on May 28th, 2014.
FICTIONS
Local Band FICTIONS holds together Bellingham's tradition of pop-punk that is creative, loud, and damn catchy. At first listen it is easy to draw a comparison to Bellingham lengends Death Cab for Cutie, but there are also traces of shoegaze, grimy pop, and daring originality. This smiley bunch of musicians puts on a show and promises to have their songs stuck in your head for weeks. They played the Underground with Seattle band Specters on January 15th, 2014.
LURES
LURES plays searing instrumentals that border on every genre from surf to punk, to post-rock, accompanied by the low and somber vocals that will put you in a trance or a dance, maybe both. Hailing from Seattle, LURES played at the Underground with local band Eagle Teeth on October 23rd, 2013.
SNUG HARBOR
Nine members strong, and some occasional guests, Bellingham's SNUG HARBOR lays down smooth funk with reggae influences and remains a staple act in the growing NW funk scene. They laid down the groove at the Underground on April 29th, 2014.
PORTER RAY
The music of PORTER RAY is self-proclaimed as being an ode to both the vibes of Seattle and original 90's hip-hop. The students of Western and the local community has always been supportive of the vibrant Northwest Hip Hop scene. PORTER RAY played with Cam the Mac on April 30th, 2014
VERVEX
Local favorite VERVEX has transitioned from a 4 piece to the solo project of Jake Barrow. His music contains elements of almost everything called "indie" in the last decade. They played with Seattle's Ra Scion on January 29th, 2014.
